    First off all...read the OP. The title is misleading, just like many other topics around here.

    Second of all, no, maim didn't get a damage boost in this patch. It got an increased potency of exposed effect in exchange of it lasting 3x less than before and the recast going up in 6x. Not even close to be an even exchange.

    I'm not really sure why such aggressive post of yours...i didn't even quote or at least disagree of any of your posts...and i'm just showing the points regarding why i think it's a nerf...

    Indeed. I'm not really sure how well Comrade II is as cross-class since i don't have it still so i prefer to just assume you require a LNC for it to work properly. Do you have any numbers regarding comrade performance at cross-class with pikemanship? If the Comrade cross-class can offer 500-1k extra TP in less than 3 swings then it does makes maim-over-maim potentially possible

    But the other situation is not really valid...by the time we started talking about multi targets, we no longer are talking about Maim as WS since using Maim over Storm's Path in a multi-target battle would be, at least, odd. ^^:

    I do. Maim wasn't meant to be Bloodbath's whore. Increasing recast without any other bonus do is a nerf.

    The thing is...they did this change to prevent "Maim-over-Maim". I did this so many times before 1.18 i got tired...and this is what they didn't want...that's why they shortened the effect duration and increased recast...right now, even if you to everything right (Maim > wait basic AA trigger/use siphon/have Invigorate II active > 3 basic attacks > Maim), the exposed effect would be gone by the time the second Maim popped.

    It was possible before 1.18...i could toss a second maim over exposed effect and get around 30% extra damage...but now, even if the bonus was 100%, MRD couldn't take full benefit of it...right now Maim is just like Comrade in Arms...an action that actually was made to other party members to use.

    And, anyway, you can heal way more with Second Wind II than Bloodbath. But still, i'm looking to Maim mechanics alone...it's easy to see why they did the changes, but this is not an excuse to say it wasn't nerfed. It's the same of saying Victimize wasn't nerfed because now you can use retaliation actions on misses...of course this is why they increased Vic recast...but still, even though it's understandable, it's still a nerf.

    If you're worried about Maim's recast then utilize Keen Flurry. Two maims in a short amount of time that way. This was already suggested anyway.

    MRD is quite good this patch. Perhaps SE heard all the whining...

    I've had my share of MRD complaints, but if I'm going to be fair and reasonable, I can't really complain now about how MRD functions in the game. I won't bother to make a list or present an argument, just saying it's all good now.

    Well, i am not complaining at all...actually i didn't complain about MRD since 1.19became live. :/

    I'm just analyzing the mechanics the topic was created under...i always kept my posts on-topic...idk why people think i'm complaining...maybe my english just sucks more than i thought.

    Anyway...seems like no one really is up to discussing Maim/MI mechanics anymore so i guess i'll stop here...too bad since it really had some interesting posts.

    Have a nice one.

    MI + Keen Flurry + Blindside + Ferocity + Raging Strike + Bloodbath + Maim = Axe Orgasm.

    marauder works awesome as it is, i leveled after the patch 1.19a from 30 to 50 and its a huge difference in damage and battle dynamics, i was the tank and the insane damage dealer of every party after 35, with maim you can do 700+ dmg to a mob easily and have 10 sec to do even more damage, storms path is the best ws that mrd has, you hit for around 500+ dmg to every mob around you so brandish 2 with storms path is a certain thing that you will tank and be the best damage dealer in the party.

    Yeah lancer does a lot of damage with doomspike but u need to be moving around to get the best of it and as much mobs as you can, with marauder you dont need to move you need only a puller to bring you fresh mobs around you.

    So if this is nerfing please keep it up right now is one of my favorite classes in the game, now you can feel the big difference between marauder and lancer.

    The only thing that i would ask and if any of you can make a thread about is to give marauder the 2 aoe normal attacks that give enmitty another 2 with same damage and all but without the enmitty bonus so you can be a damage dealer from the back not always the tank, and if you need to tank equip the same 2 attacks but in the enmitty version, or take off those bonus and instead of that give stances, like tank stance that gives enmitty bonus and a damage dealer stance were you hit harder with same skills.

    Intimidation and Out of Sight. Else what you ask for is the Warrior Job, which is coming 1.21
