    Can you PLEASE STOP NERFING MARAUDER?!?!?

    Murderous Intent

    ・Increases critical hit rate and reduces TP generation. → Increases critical attack power.
    ・Recast time raised from 60 to 180 seconds

    Maim

    ・Potency of defense reduction effect increased.
    ・Recast time reaised from 10 to 60 seconds
    ・Effect duration reduced from 30 to 10 seconds.
    ・Now a marauder-exclusive action.

    Why?!?!?!?

    Don't ask me...i already gave up trying to understand.

    Right now i just assume they want to make th class so bad that when they decide removing it no one will complain.

    Next step:
    -Skull Sunder will become 1000TP and have 1 min recast.
    -Steadfast will be removed and added to Heavy Swing as a 10 seconds buff.
    -AoE basic attacks will be removed
    -Axe base attack will be increased but so will the delay. Gogo MRD 5.0!


    ...after all FFXI had no MRD so it has no place here as well.

    I dunno about you, but that doesn't look like a nerf to me.

    Both of those skills were pretty useless to begin with. Now that MI doesn't nerf TP it might actually be worth using to increase your damage like it's supposed to do.

    Now Maim is good for more spike damage in that 10 second window of defense down.

    Now, if the buffs that these skills aren't good enough to balance the increased cooldown, then that would suck, but we don't know that yet.

    3 minutes is a super long cool down. fights are more fast paced now, 3 minute cool down means you can use the skill like once every 4 fights? and it will only do anything if you actually land a crit? only 30 seconds... ehhhhhh.

    maim is in line with thier very uniform and kind of annoying signature move for party benefit plan

    pug gets attack down
    mrd gets defense down
    lnc gets tp down

    all become exclusive and all are on a 60 second timer now. kinda formulaic but whatever. Im more disturbed that the battle director seems to favor long cool downs, more and more skills are getting longer and longer cool downs. He seems to be focused on ffxi like battle adjustments.

    He is. Seems like the only thing battle team can see is FFXI. Every single change regarding gear, attribute or battle is going toward it. A shame indeed.

    Well the first change I'd consider a buff.

    The second is a little different... We don't know how potent maim will be, so 10 seconds could be more than enough for the duration.

    With Keen Flurry you can keep maim available more often.

    Honestly... not seeing how you can get a definitive nerf out of this...

    Depends if it's guaranteed to stick on the mob or not. On bosses it was useless.

    The thing about nerf is that with 30 seconds duration MRD themselves could take benefit from effect...but with 10 seconds only it will be more of a "Hey! I'll spread her legs but i'll need you to f' her for me, OK?" because you will have no time to build enough TP and buff in 10 sconds since 10 seconds often means average time for 3 actions, turning it more of an opening WS...this change might already be targeting the new battle regimen system.

    I wish they would say what they had in mind with these changes...this would take awawy the "random changes" taste since we would have an idea of what it is planned to become in the end.
