Constant crashing, can't find a solution.

So I recently have gotten back into ARR, the game has been playing fine the past week since I renewed my sub. However, I have a huge issue plaguing my PC and it's difficult to find the problem due to it's nature.

Problem: After playing for about ten minutes, or just happening right off the bat as soon as I log into a character, my entire computer starts freezing up, and my graphics card dies on me, turning off the display with no way to turn it back on, unless I physically restart my PC. I try using task manager to kill the game but it freezes so badly, I can't do anything. This is the only game I'm having issues with. I reinstalled my drivers, tried running on DX9, still nothing. It's impossible to simply kill the process and check the logs, everything just freaks out

My specs are:

GTX 670
16 gb RAM
Intel i7 Quad Core 4.2 GHz

Does anyone have any similar issues? I tried looking online, I couldn't find anything. Please help, I hate paying for a subscription and not even be able to play.

Two options:

1) Try hotfix driver 353.38

2) Roll back to 347.88

There's a timing error in some of the newer nVidia drivers that causes Windows to think the driver has stopped responding, so it shuts down your graphics driver to restart it.

I am having a similar problem, I was playing fine last night but after patching it today I crash any time I try to log in with a character (tried 3 different characters), I tried DX9 and DX11 clients, I cleaned out my character folders relogged in still crashed. reset all my settings, still crashed.

Thought maybe I had a corrupted update so I did a full uninstall and reinstall of the game (26GB later) still crashing. Updated my video drivers still crashing rolled back video drivers to an older version still crashing.

I literally can not play on my PC right now and its rather frustrating. The game logs in gives me like 10s of slideshow images with the music working perfectly then locks up (and sometimes locks my whole PC up with it). This is only happening with XIV, I tested 12 other games ranging from light indies to heavier titles like witcher 3, Borderlands the pre sequel, and GTAV, all of which worked flawlessly. Not really sure what to do now.
