AF2 gear aesthetics.

Loving the look of the new WHM and AST sets! (Minus the whm hood because of the skullcap inside it.) Both of those sets are really nice though. And if there ever comes a time we can dye them, I finally have my Terra sleeves!(Whm ones).

Also liking the NIN, DRG and PLD sets.

Not really a fan of the weapons I saw though, with the execption of the PLD one. I'll have to look closer tomorrow when I'm not in a farm party.

What are your likes/dislikes with the new sets?

Still the same ol fanny pack for the MCH gun...
Also too much skill speed.

The MCH AF top looks alright on females, though the black undershirt seems sorta weird.

I like the look of MCH gear on my character and the SCH gear (And AST gear is fantastic looking). I think they totally did an amazing job and I can barely decide which of the two to get... which is my only issue really, they're both beautiful.

It is really sad that we're being forced into gearing ONLY ONE job and can't even share it among similar roles.
IE: SCH/AST/WHM
IE: BRD/MCH.
As someone who does multi-job with heal and DPS it is kinda sad.

Why, then, is a higher resolution version of it not made available? One that we can appreciate and is actually useful as a reference?

I like most of the the gear, especially the SMN long horn that I plan on dying to match Xaela scale color.

But I am surprised at how the SCH robes have BOOKs on it. I thought that the fan artwork a few weeks back was an aesthetic choice by the artist ... I had no idea it was actually part of the SCH AF2

Good news for you then! The upgraded version of the AF2 gear (look at the vendor where you upgrade law stuff and look under "Repairing Artifact") is dyeable!

As for the gear I'm absolutely in love with the Summoner chestpiece, its the first thing I'm getting. Its so beautiful dammit

I kind of like it being for one job. It is meant to be an iconic set for that particular job, not your average set. Wouldn't want it for all gear sets though.

Yay! Forgot to check that. I'm offline until tomorrow too so I can't check if it works for the class as well as the job, for retainer usage. Do you know if it works for classes as well?

Once again, the WHM stuuf looks so good that I almost want to skip the weapon first in order to get the chest and legs.
