Soo pretty much what you said chief... you have enmity you have to wait.... just like Lyndis, Estellios, and I said...."So now since we can cast while in passive mode that means we can gain enmity while in passive mode. Other wise you could cast and continue to recover at a increased rate. " Of course your not going to gain mp while your casting a spell.... But spells do cause enmity, which means you cant gain mp if you have some.

Players who are incurring enmity will be unable to recover HP and MP at an aetheryte.

it does NOT say Players who CURRENTLY HAVE enmity,

is say while INCURRING. which means while actively gaining more enmity.

Once you stop gaining enmity you can recover.
if you have enmity you can recover.
you just cant be getting more.

If it was that they would have just said "while not performing any action" or something to that effect. Even think about how aetherytes work now, you can't recover when you are in a fight, even if you have slept whatever is attacking you.
