Ehhh, I won't believe you until 6 more threads about the same topic are made.
It will be fixed soon enough...but in the meantime just do yourself a favor and start usin sch/whm for end game content.
People generally come on to complain more than say what they like, it's like review sites, people are more motivated to complain or give a negative review than a good one. I gave up on AST awhile ago though mainly because I kept comparing it to my darling WHM and then realized since I love WHM so much, why am I doing something else? My issue is more the potency, I can live with not having EVERY spell WHM has otherwise that would be dumb. I just wish the ones we did have were almost as potent, and then the ones we don't have were made up for with the cards etc. Like why does Helios have to be weaker AND smaller range than Medica? We should at least have the equivalent of Cure, Cure II, and Medica I think.
I think it might be different if I had started with AST from the start as my first healing role. But since I started with WHM, even when I try SCH I'm always comparing them or thinking it seems weaker etc. So I think WHM is what ruined it for many people.
It's also the fact though that when you look at WHM, their spells are almost overkill and redundant. Like we can do what, 3 different types of Regen, by using actual Regen, Medica II, and Asylum. For AoE healing we have Cure III, Medica II, Assize, and technically Asylum. Then to top it off we can do abilities to bump the potency by 30%, increase spell speed, and refresh MP.

for me its the other way around ... i played SCH and am haveing a very very ...very hard time even getting WHM to a high enough lvl to get stone skin...People generally come on to complain more than say what they like, it's like review sites, people are more motivated to complain or give a negative review than a good one. The range is the same for Helios and Medica (not Asp. Helios and Medica II, though). The potencies don't vary that much, so technically we do have the equivalent of Cure, Cure II, and Medica. If you -really- want a Cure 1, you can cross class it as an alternative, if you don't need instant Benefic IIs.My issue is more the potency, I can live with not having EVERY spell WHM has otherwise that would be dumb. Seriously, I'm having mixed feeling about the proc Benefic II. Sometimes it helps but sometimes it's very situational. A lot of the time it wrecks my timing, so for like 90% of the time I would ignore it altogether. The range is the same for Helios and Medica (not Asp. Helios and Medica II, though).
