    I think it's time for me to tap out of crafting. This thing has become more of a chore/job than rewarding/fun. It feels like they went back to the 1.0 crafting style where crafting one thing took hours.

    And in the end, what's the point? Crafting 40 turn ins is every week is the most boring thing, not to mention a waste of gil/time.

    I just don't understand why they need the red scrip turn in amounts to be so small. It's capped on a weekly amount. Couldn't they just increase the amounts per turn in or have a daily bonus like DoW/DoMs get for roulettes so that you could do 1 craft a day for your bonus and hit the cap doing that rather than doing 25?

    At the very least increase the bonus you get for filling the collectability, especially for gatherer turn ins. Why would anyone even attempt to get higher than 470 for one extra scrip?

    It's not difficult, just tedious and the rewards for doing more than the bare minimum requirement is rarely worth the extra crafting steps.

    the real killer is the availability of mats. It's bad enough when the best you can do is only collect 15-30 of an item per hour. Now you're looking at a ton of pre-work for favours just to get anywhere near a node. You don't get to just craft/gather anymore, you get to grind grind grind just for the opportunity of getting a little craft/gathering done.

    I absolutely dread to think what horrors they think they'll get away with next update/expansion. But I doubt I'll last that long.

    The massive grind is really turning me off. I started doing some red scripts for my culinarian and buying the materials off the market board will tank my finances too much and gathering them will take a long time because they are all gated behind unspoiled nodes... And i didn't start with botanist yet, where i could get 2 collectables every 40 minutes

    Skimmed through the thread. As a newish crafter it looks like a nightmare that requires me to commit to it instead of it being a side-thing for when I hit yet another cap for Esto Tomes.

    I already have Weaver to level 50 and originally planned on grinding them all to 50. But now I will grind out Goldsmith to 50 so I can meld ACC on Healer accessories made from some dedicated crafter and never touch crafting again it doesn't look worth it at all tbh

    I'd wished I'd known this months ago. I wouldn't have bothered with crafting. I hope they make some changes. But while its like this. Think I'll save my subscriptions costs towards MGS V or fallout 4 or something. Not wasting money while I sit and hope they reverse there butchery of the game.

    Its the same crap being spouted by the same man-children that complained back when beast tribe dailies came out. Crafting isn't dead, you're just afraid of change and you're afraid of having to actually wait instead of getting instant gratification.

    Coming from someone with no crafts at 60.

    End-game crafting is pretty dead and is likely to remain so for a long time unless things change.

    I had no problem with oaknots, any newb could get them easily and they were only used for crafting/gathering class gears, it's not the same at all.

    None of the "major progression" groups on Odin have any i180 crafted parts.

    I also said "pretty dead", so you may want to actually read my post before commenting.
