Strength Tanks and You.

I can NOT stress this enough.

Healing is a fun thing for some of us. But not when the Tanks are packing all STR accessories and ignoring the fundamentals of actually holding hate and not dying a horrible death cause they ate several Critical Hits without the extra health to sustain them long enough for a Heal to get off.

Now, I'm going to say this, I don't pay your Subscription, I'm not going to tell you how to play your Character. However, any amount of consideration toward the people you are playing with will go a long way in making everyone's lives easier.

Remember, Healers have a pain in the ass job sometimes already, don't make it more difficult...

What really matters is the defense of the armor. VIT matters less if tanker doesn't know how to manage defense cooldowns properly. I sport half VIT/STR accessories on my WAR and I do just fine main tanking. Going full VIT is just wasteful and unnecessary.

Leave it to some chode to say tanks need strength, and the sheep will follow. Though I am guilty of having strength acc. not all though. Its more for my open world solo adventuring, DPS is so low it helps just a little bit. When in a party though its not my job to DPS, thats why we have, DPS classes.

I WHM, SCH, and WAR

All "Fending" Armor, "Fending" bracelets/earings, and two "Slaying" rings.
All Bonus into STR. I've found out hat, yes STR has a purpose in Tanks, it IS easier to hold aggro with just a bit more STR, than just a straight VIT dump.
Balance is the key.

I cringe every time I see a DRK with 13k HP in A4. Of course two orbs instakill him before healers could react. Of course we wipe. Of course he wastes our time.
Strength tanks are egoists who don't understand the simple concept of soaking damage where only HP matters. Will their 'extra dps' help us to finish the trial faster? Of course not. But extra HP surely can.

False. I can eat two orbs as just over 11k HP BLM without any healing or self cooldowns and survive. What most likely kills your hypothetical DRK is a laser mechanic during orbs that was not handled properly.

I main PLD here ....all extra bonus stats here in STR and I rock a i190 STR ring thats it. At 700+ STR I find holding agro a piece of cake.

But this is on the same level as those ''Did you die'' healers....the ones who would rather DPS then heal. So our community suffers from ''different playstyle'' healers as well. I hate having to POP Rampart..Then a Sentinel just because my Astro thought it would be a good idea to DPS or the SCH is letting Eos take the wheel in AF2 ....
So this goes both ways ... I never bash the full community of healers, but those imbeciles know who they are

So, you'd rather NOT use your abilities that you have, like you should be, so that a Healer who want to DPS, like they should be, can use the abilities they have that they DO want to use? Does not compute.
