    You're correct, talking to someone online is just as good as an application in some cases. Let me throw this out there though. Say a member hears about Seraphim via another website, not in-game, and registers via website first, how do we know they have interest in joining? They may not have a clue what our crest looks like in-game, nor might they be able to find the person that recruited them. Sac holders are not on 24/7 to answer recruit questions unfortunately.

    Sometimes an application is the first contact that we have with a player. It makes sure multiple people in the LS know that a member wishes to be a part of us.
