Yup, I agree OP. This feels like 2.0 with flying lol. I don't even bother telling my friends to come play. There is no horizontal progression like they said we'd have, no new and interesting stats, nothing new (like salvage, nyzul, sky etc) its like I am playing 2.0 all over again. Think it is finally time to unsub and move on.

There is no reason to get gear. Get it to do what? My trials? No thanks. There is really nothing in this game that requires social interaction or FC. There is no sense of community or reason to be social. Everything can be done alone or in the PF with strangers. Maybe if they add worthwhile content I'll come back someday. /shrug

That's because of x world\server DF has nothing to do with raids. Why be social and cooperative when there's no need?

Why can't when se introduces new raids aka Alex savage and stuff of the like can't they give us the ability to use hunts to get the upgrades. Why must we wait months for the ability to do so. Some people have a hard time finding statics to join to get into this stupid full party crap just to participate. Se really needs to rethink and fix this. Would be wonderful if either they let us join through DF or find another way for us to get the upgrades for estorics aka hunts. Why even have estoric gear with the ability to upgrade it if half of us can't even do so. Sounds stupid imo.

So that people, who do the real raid, can upgrade their gears first. The other people have to wait until 3.15 (i guess) to get it from the next casual 24 man raid.

Which to me is unfair and shouldn't be the case. We all should be able to upgrade at the same time. Not just raiders. Se really needs to change this. Also why does SE want to get people to unsub so much. Don't they realize by now that all the raiders are gonna do is get there estorics gear,upgrade it, and then unsub till there is more content for them to do. Really SE what's the point in only letting raiders atm upgrade there estorics gear?

People who invest more time and effort should be rewarded accordingly and people who can't shouldn't its that simple.

I don't have a static for Savage but I would like to find one. But until I do im fine with getting i200 gear for my DK while I figure that out knowing when I can raid there are upgrades.

YOU are NOT entitled to every single aspect of the game if YOU are not willing to WORK for it. Running dungeons all day that are simple with no effort should not yield the SAME gear as the people who slave over Savage to finally kill the boss and are rewarded with the exact same gear. If SE changed the game to what you want I would quit without thought.

Stop thinking everyone is on equal ground. If you don't give a game effort you don't progress. This is factual for ALL types of games.

FFXIV has been running this system for 2 years now. Subs are increasing, profits are great, the game is getting better, but you think everyone will unsub from the game?, Numbers clearly prove you false or this game would have gone Free to play as fast as other terrible recent MMO's like ESO, Wildstar, and SWG. Those games failed because of devs who didn't care about their subscribers. SE cares enough to give us major content updates as part of our sub every quarter with new raids and dungeons, Something no other Dev has done and yet their games fail and FFXIV is growing.

Keep Dreaming, what SE and YoshiP are doing is the future of HOW TO RUN an MMO from here on out.

Actually this system is better because you are guaranteed a reward and it's not solely reliant on rng.

You're guaranteed an award through rng as well. The only difference is that a game that is rng based (diablo, borderlands, phantasy star online) those games don't lock you out for a week. Instead they allow you to go through things as you want, Final Fantasy forces you to follow a pattern, complete this one question, obtain trade in item, receive gear, wait a week, rise and repeat. All I'm saying is that they could have implemented many ways for gear to be obtained yet they went with a method many people didn't like from the get go.
