I like the Lightspeed change, but I'm still waiting on a patch healing CD. All they've really done here is addressed MP concerns.

Pair me with an AST? All of a sudden people are dying and I am going oom and it's a nightmare where I am spamming succor cause I just had to blow indominability and emergency tactics succor after throwing out 9 revives.

And no it isn't because I don't know what I am doing, I have solo healed RavEX and BisEX multiple times. In fact the RavEX run that dropped my codex is just one run I did. With an AST I find myself just as taxed, if not moreso because I assume I can rely on them to support my heals and instead I am horrifically mistaken and boom multiple 2.5k mana hits from reviving people.

I don't need to level an AST to know they need buffs. They NEED buffs. I literally groan and want to just leave a party if I see I'm with an AST.
Stop worrying about jobs other people main and worry more about jobs you main.

The changes were sexy. Noct stance needs work but other than that, don't see a problem.

I'm not even sure why Celestial Opposition keeps getting mentioned by people other than live letter mentioning it. Celestial Opposition is awesome, it just takes set-up and CD management. I suppose its kind of on the weak side for Noct since you can't extend 2x Regens along with your Card and Luminous, but again that has more to do with Nocturnal yet again.

People get paired up with terrible DRGs all the time; does that job need buffs too?

Agreed, the changes are actually a step in the right direction (while making AST more "unique" compared to WHM/SCH).

That said, Nocturnal Stance definitely needs some more work, because as it (currently) stands: Diurnal > Nocturnal, by far.

I like the current changes, but I feel like the Collective Unconscious "buff" was just pseudo-bandaid. Despite prior raid experience and looking at what AST can offer on paper, I think the devs just want to give Astrologians a chance in Savage as they are now instead of blindly buffing them.

I'm looking forward to see what they will be doing with our collective feedback as I strongly believe that they will fix our little clinks here and there with more information. I do propose the idea of a "reflect" type buff since Astrologians are similar to Time Mages in other Final Fantasy Games. It sounds fun and perhaps may either be broken or lack luster. Who knows!
