At least one 4 Star and one 5 Star or two 4 stars would be better because 90 cards takes a long, long time and a ton of luck to get. Some are gated not only by real life time due to only being available certain hours, but also RNG of drops from NPCs and some even RNG of rules.

Honestly, one 4 and one 5 Star, or two 4 stars would let me use particular cards I want, rather than particular cards I necessarily need.

I just don't like not being able to do what npcs can do. If an npcs can have as many cards of any type as they want why can't I? It's part of the design to be unfair and that's just not fun

Seems like it would still be fair considering that NPCs have some pretty unfair advantages already.

This is what bugs me the most, especially when Random comes along and they have zero handicap out of it because all their cards are awesome anyway, while we end up with a bunch of one stars.

Yes! Some of the new NPCs have very good cards but punish you with random card rule... 90% of the time you lost the battle as soon as it begins because it randomly gives you 1/2 star cards you cannot possibly win with, and there's no way to abort the match, you have to play it all out knowing you will lose. Then on the rare occasions you win, you don't get the low-chance card reward anyway. It's like triple triad is a savage tier of difficulty content.

If anything they could give us a free play option, as such for pvp only you can set up any deck you want with any rank cards you want and challenge friends. Obviously dont use this in tournaments or NPCs. Better then nothing imo

I'd like to see an advanced version of the game open up once a player reaches 90 cards. Maybe have an expanded game board instead of the 3x3 playing surface we have now. The more cards we collect, the bigger the the playing surface gets going from 3x3 to 4x4 or 5x5. It would certainly require larger decks and different kinds of strategies.

As for the card name now, I'm not a big fan of order or chaos rules. Those paired with random just are not fun at all. Random and roullette however, seem to work well in tournaments and when paired with the other rules.

And the drop rates are terrible with the 3.0 npcs. At least give us some alternative card drops to keep us motivated. I've been playing Midnight Dew now since I first got to Idylshire and she absolutely will not drop her 3 star card. I'm having flashbacks to 2.0 trying to get the Gaius card. Except I eventually got Gaius.

    Stuck at 89 cards.

This is a minigame and something that shouldn't be taken serious in my opinion. If you want a real card game, I suggest playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist for the PS4. It's extremely fun to play and online against other players is just so much fun, the best part is that you have so many playstyles - the original yugioh, xyz method, pend etc. can just go against eachother! ahem, back on topic: the cardgame is just a minigame and shouldn't be taken serious because ffxiv isn't about cards.
