    Shield ranking

    Hei -
So the question is how to effectively rank up shield?

I obtained my very first wood plank shield when my gladiator was rank 20 or so.. which obviously lead to being behind in ranks for a bit.

Fast Forward >> My Gladiator is Rank50 and my shield is only R46. By leveling up Thm/Con (both around 20) would it take a long time to get my shield skill from 46 to 50?

Or would it be more effective to suck it up and do R40 leves on my R50 Gladiator for the next week or two?

I'm not sure, but because your skill is so much higher than the mobs you're facing at rank 20 I don't think you'll get a whole lot of points. Also, you'll be limited to one handed weapons. If you're going to level those two classes anyway I'd say go with it for a while and see how many points you get but if you really want to get it maxed out fast doing high level leaves is probably the way to go.

Don't bother. I'm in the exact same boat, and what I've found is... this actually rocks! I still get meaningful SP for fighting stuff with my fav. class, even though it's capped.

I figure it'll catch up soon enough, what with all the new content we'll have to rock right through!!!!

Ahh yeah that throws a wrench into the situation... all the new stuff is coming out so there will be plenty of SP to gain. However, I would really like to have DEFLECTION when tanking in Darkhold. Hmm... I guess I'll hold off since I have other classes to rank up anyway

it will catch up, but if you want it to catch up faster rank thm or con with a shield to rank 20. the sp at low ranks is way higher.

you can get 700 sp a get on rank 1,10, and even 20s on i bit of a higher dif.

Yeah, you get SP based off of your non-Sentinel class. Go rank it up with your DoM, it'll be faster.
