Cried when I saw the Summoner gear. Everybody here seems to like it, but I play a male character, and I feel like the new Summoner gear is a five-year-old girl's dream Halloween costume. I don't understand why I have to wear a corset and a miniskirt and thigh-highs with thigh gap and... it's just so... ugh. It's women's clothes. The guy version is still women's clothes. Extremely feminine women's clothes.

I have to agree with this. I do really like the SMN gear, but as you said, something a bit more masculine for us guys wouldn't have hurt. Again though, I like the overall concept, color scheme, etc. Haven't really looked too much at the other classes, but I thought they hit NIN perfectly. Really love how that one turned out.

This is why it's great playing a female character. The masculine, guy clothing still looks pretty good on a female, but the reverse isn't true. I think the people you see in love with smn gear are all or mostly all female characters. I can imagine it looks terrible on a male.

I'm with SE on this one, glamouring AF that doesn't belong to your job just looks weird.

Maybe it will grow on you, I hated the scholar one at first.

Totally agreed. Cross class glamour would dilute things too much. We should have to work toward the goal of levelling a job if we like the job specific gear. It serves as an incentive to level more than one job, thus encouraging people to try out new roles.

Well that's not exactly masculine armor, I think it's the style more than anything. If you want a feminine look you're still going to have to find feminine armor. My point was just feminine armor on a male looks awful, but non-feminine armor on a female, even masculine armor, is acceptable on a female.

I do think they need to make a lot more glamour gear for crafters though to fill in some of the gaps. They don't want crafters competing with raiders fine, but at least give us a fashion catalog.

The color scheme and theme are pretty cool. I just wish the cut were made more masculine for the guy version ;-;

That said, I doubt cross-class glams would be the answer... at least not for iconic gear. It would be very strange to see an iconic Dragoon walking around with a fairy and slapping people with a book.

Edit: Actually that would be hilarious. I may have just undermined my own point.

If you want a feminine look you're still going to have to find feminine armor.

Good luck finding a feminine robe that isn't covered in mountains of cloth. (Or so much lack of cloth that its practically a bikini)
