Nice idea to publish the new crafting recipes on the DB before the opening of servers.
Again.

Yup, Mastercraft/Fieldcraft III Demis all bought up within minutes of server reboot. And this will continue to happen all the way up until Thursday, skyrocketing prices.
Oh well, at least I have ways to get my own.
I just hope we can get to two stars with red scrips eventually, demimaterias and desynth is such a pain ...
Developers keep screwing up Crafting and Gathering with their obsession with inflating prices on the MB.
Best thing that could happen to DoH and DoL at this point is removing the MB from the game so the developers stop designing the game around it.
The problem is they haven't found a proper gil sink for the game yet. Housing was short term. In FFXI the long term gil sink was Dynamis (a million gil each time you wanted a group to run a raid together, later on dropped to 500K) but with a Duty Finder system that isn't going to work. Since a regular source of income isn't needed if all you want to do is DoW/DoM and do story stuff, they need a serious cash sink targeted only at the crafters/gatherers that will somehow benefit larger groups of people.
The most common gil sinks in the game are gear repairs and market tax. Can't they just adjust those to fix a gil sink issue? The problem is they haven't found a proper gil sink for the game yet. The only reason why we "need" a gilsink is because the developer's chose to cause inflation on the MB by implementing mechanics that limit the supply of materials and push players away from crafting and gathering. The problem is they haven't found a proper gil sink for the game yet. Removing the MB from the game at this point would be a blessing. Then the development team could refocus on making crafting/gathering fun again instead of turning the playerbase into gilfarming monkeys enslaved to the MB. Our only saving grace is that DoW and DoM can pretty much ignore the MB altogether, if only DoH and DoL had the same choice.
