i200 and i210 will take longer to get than you think. It will take only 5 weeks to full outfit a class in 190 and 8+ weeks to full gear a class to i200 unless you are lucky with drops from Alex SV.
Technically speaking, everything that's out right now is stuff that was "supposed" to be out as soon as HW launched. The only reason Alex was held back so that people could "take their time" and enjoy the storyline. Before Heavensward, the numbered patches came at a 3 months interval roughly. It meant new quests, new instances, new gear and new tomestones. You had time to upgrade your mains, and even equip your alternative classes.
Now, Heavensward has not even been out officially for a month (official launch was the 23rd of june), and I feel I'm getting overwhelmed with the new upgrades.
SE is staggered releases in order to prevent/limit forced and/or rushed leveling.
If Alex HM/SV and Esoterics were released in 3.00 then anyone who was not in early release would be a week behind those who were and anyone who took more than week to level up would have been even further behind.
They set it up so that everyone had 2 weeks reach 60 before Alex HM and 4 weeks to reach 60 before Esoterics and Alex SV.
it was stated before expansion release the ETA on when we should be expecting new tomes and raid etc. this was to give players who wanted a chance to experience and appreciate the game the opportunity to do so with out feeling they were a week behind on tome capping/raid loot. this hold on the release of content was given to the community as a courtesy.
some people may have been playing since expansion release and may not have a 60 yet or focused on crafting or whatever. maybe they will feel this "rush" too or as though they are falling behind. but not everyone works at the same pace. to with hold this already expected content would put a wall up on those who do progress at a faster pace.
or what about raiders? people who pretty much only play for the more hard core of mechanic content? should they still have to wait for the game they love? if not, theres the other side of the player base who wouldnt find it fair to not have equivalent ilvl gear to be able to obtain outside of raid content.
everyone has a pace. the game can not cater to everyone or any individual but they try.
dont fret, get upset or worked up about it. just continue at YOUR pace and play the game you like
Andddddd this is why u dont hunt. Hahahhahahaha lol jk
Nah the game isn't fast at all.
Devs delayed content from 3.0 release sooooooo we r just getting the stuff we should have gotten from the start.
It's SLOWER than it was in 2.0.
What the hell are you guys complaining about?

The Law gear was the necessary building block for Alexander (Savage). Alexander (normal) is for people who won't be doing Alexander (S) (to experience the story... gear is mostly for glamour purposes), and an easy practice run for those who do intend to do Alex (S).
Esoterics is for those that either won't be doing A.Savage, or want a little better gear to help them out when they do attempt it later.
This is exactly, and I mean exactly, like Darklight >> LotA >> Myth >> Coil
The building block was Darklight, the intermediary was LotA, and the top were Myth and Coil. Now it's Law is building block, A.Normal is intermediary, and top is Esoteric and A.Savage.
its slowed down not sped up, this is the first engame raid and has been withheld from players to allow everyone to get basic gear.

No. But all of this was intended. All that has happened is the content has been released in staggered stage. They would normally have been released on day 1 of the expansion. It's been staggered to allow people to focus on the story/level aspects first. Like back in 2.0, Myth was available from day 1 which gave i90 gear, and the Philosophy tomes (like Law) gave i70 gear. This is no different, we just have had time between the release of certain things.
For the average player, they will be mixing Alex NM and Esoterics gear simply due to the 450 weekly cap. Each stage of gear is a step up towards the best. The stages can be seen almost as: Law + Upgraded Law (not gated)> Alex + Esoterics (weekly gate) > Alex Savage + Upgraded Esoterics (difficulty/weekly gate)
Plus, there will be few people (in the whole scheme of things) who will even see i210 gear given the difficulty of Savage (people are stuggling to meet the DPS check for Faust, let alone beating A1S). So most are going to be in i180 with bits of i190 Alex NM gear and a few pieces of Eso. And that's just on their main class. For alt jobs, they'll mostly be in i180/i190 for a good few weeks.

You're not going to see a lot of people in i210. Savage Alexander isn't something a group of random people you pick up with party finder will be capable of consistently doing. Ravana EX already is the cause of many PF tears due to all its subtle nuances for when DD need to keep up DPS or retreat. Not to mention the double prey mechanic.
For the hardest material in the game, players will need to form static groups and play on schedules if they hope to do these without breaking themselves into pieces on the party finder tool.
