Is the game a litle bit too fast now?

Before Heavensward, the numbered patches came at a 3 months interval roughly. It meant new quests, new instances, new gear and new tomestones. You had time to upgrade your mains, and even equip your alternative classes.
Now, Heavensward has not even been out officially for a month (official launch was the 23rd of june), and I feel I'm getting overwhelmed with the new upgrades.

When HW was out, we had to level at least one job to 60 and finish the main story to unlock all the roulettes and start the gear grind for tomes. It took me more than a week to do so and I did it on WHM. I unocked the expert roulette and started getting my BLM to 60. Alexander was released a few days after and I only got to play the first 3 floors. I got BLM to 60 the next week and cleared now the fourth floor while trying to beat Bismark extreme.

Today is the patch with new tomestones and Alexander savage. As of today, I have both my jobs on law, 5 law upgrades and 4 pieces of Alexander on BLM, and WHM with 7/13 law upgrades and no Alexander, and 2 different Alexander hand-ins floating in my inventory because I need either 4 of the item or 2 to get a full piece.

And now I have to ditch all that and start grinding for the new tomes? I only got another upgrade for my WHM yesterday :/ From 3 months we went to 2 weeks
Does anyone else feel a bit rushed here?

Alex NM was sure rendered irrelevant for hardcore/casuals alike really fast.

There will definitely be fewer players running BisEX/RavEX in 3.05 too. Bismarck/Ravana pony pls?

Er... it's exactly the same as it was in ARR.

Actually it's been slower, since ARR had mythology (wich would be the esoterics) from the start iirc.

Yes and its putting me off the game a bit tbh. Savage came out right time but now there's so much different gear.

Also havent you learned already that its pointless to farm gear unless you want them for glamour or are actually doing end game raiding?

Correction: only 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 were the ones that came in ~3months interval. The smaller ones between them have been quite frequent even in ARR - not this frequent, but frequent enough.

And yes, Alexander came two weeks after HW launch, and now we're four weeks after HW launch and Alex Savage is here - just like they said and showed on numerous occasions they had planned.

I do agree it's kinda insane though, like yeah hi you can get gear from Alex normal, but all in a weekly lock - and hey now esoterics gear is now here, also with a weekly cap but it's still gonna cause much less headache to collect and is apparently 10 ilvl higher than Alex normal....? Eh.

At the same time: this is all for just one job. You're still screwed if you wanna play multiple jobs (hell, multiple roles?) as the game's core system would encourage you to.

Yup. There's no reason to do these now other than a clear. I'll be PVPing, levelling alts and doing a bit of Savage (in a few weeks, once everyone has figured out the dance). After that, who knows? At least I don't feel compelled to log into this game every day. Don't know if that's the developers' intended effect.

SE is staggered releases in order to prevent/limit forced and/or rushed leveling.

If Alex HM/SV and Esoterics were released in 3.00 then anyone who was not in early release would be a week behind those who were and anyone who took more than week to level up would have been even further behind.

They set it up so that everyone had 2 weeks reach 60 before Alex HM and 4 weeks to reach 60 before Esoterics and Alex SV.

That's what I mean. I haven't compled i190 yet (under weekly lock) and now there's new gear? Why put a weekly lock if they giving better gear anyway?

The one job thing sucks too cause ive got an alt.
