When will these stages' difficulty be reduced? Right now Novus' stage alone is as difficult as every stage of making a relic to a Zeta combined, minus the Novus stage.

I haven't started with the Animus Books yet to get all 10 Zeta Weapons, though I'm happy about the Enemy Count reduce I wonder if I could really solo the dungeons with each class at 50 with the level unsync feature. I mean my NIN at Lv60 wrecked AV though it is possible to do alone there due to the debuffs though having a friend or two to quickly run is nice... but 72 books left to do. I'm not loving that.
Already got all my Alexandrites and Materia needed to get Novus so it's really the Animus Books I'm going to hate doing again.
Everything else should be fine... though I wonder if they will nerf it one last time when the new Relics come out. I know it's super easy, but making the old ones faster for glamour? I know or read you have to have the Zeta Weapon themselves if you want to re-buy them from the Calamity Salvage NPCs to glamour them over your items though with weaker stats.
They haven't been doubled. People who have been doing these again can tell you that these stages take just as long as before.
I'm working on my SEVENTH Zeta right now and the Novus stage alone still takes too long to finish. WAY too long. Every other step can be finished within hours now. Novus will take days of literal nonstop Trials grinding.

Still irrelevant. You can make a broken relic into a Nexus within a few hours. Novus step will take you possibly weeks to finish. Zodiac step can takes no more than a few hours now. Zeta step duration hasn't changed since last full patch in actual runs saved.
Valkrist,
Out of curiosity how long is it taking for you for each stage? I'm currently at Atma and trying to complete Animus for my Pld weapon. Though it has been made easier, I am still finding, what with my work hours, it is taking quite a bit of time for me just to complete the books, due to having to wait for hours for fates to pop. Giant Seps thus far took the longest, waited about 2 days in total, and though I know the fates have been rigged to pop more, and do...my hours don't always comply with WHEN they will pop.
(Zodiac weapon grind was indeed one of the very reasons why I stopped logging in much about a year ago, due to the insanity involved with it. I saw it as nothing but a big slap to the player base's face as a kind of "Here's some content for your ultimate weapon. Oh, btw, have fun with the vaguely disguised and insanely long pain in the arse Timesink process we made for you to get it. Because we need to tie you folks up while we work on more content since everyone is complaining there's nothing to do but endless tower grinds " )
Currently, I have 3 books left to get completed. I was hoping the Novus step would be far easier now, and perhaps the amount of materia/alexandrite required would be less. There is no truly updated guide, so, I'd like your thoughts on what I would should actually expect as I work my way towards Excalibur Zeta

You will likely have to fish around some trials yourself to find what's on bonus.
The reddit one still has some activity.

I finished farming all the Atmas for all the weapons back with the last 2.x patch, so I can't answer that one with 3.0 speed. But I was farming about 12 atmas a day back then. I finish about two Animus books a day. The only part of Animus that takes any time are waiting for the Fates which take up to a maximum of one hour to spawn. Farming Alexandrite is fast. You get generally one alex every four Fates if you go that route. You get five alex per alexandrite map that you either do dailies for or just buy with Poetics. Zodiac step is a bit random. Can go 1/1 for each dungeon up to 1/12. Generally less than that nowadays.
Nexus step still takes over 200 Trials to complete. Zeta step still takes like 5 dungeons per Mahatma. Though I don't remember the exact amount of runs needed for Zeta.
