That's your starter gear
Maybe you try a little too hard to forget the difference between having gear and clearing content.

Just because it was done in the past it doesn't mean it is a good idea. Granted, people who are godd enough to do savage alex (unlike me) should absolutely get stuff exclusive to them as a reward, but putting the items for both 210 sets into Ali G savage is just stupid. Yes, stupid. It's not really horizontal progression if you aquire both the same way, ya know.

To be honest I don't really get why you would need the gear if you're not doing Savage.
Everything else in game is doable in i170

To be honest, I don't really get why people farm so much to drop each mount.
Everything in the game is doable with the companion.
There isnt any other place to put it right now thats the point... What else is on par with the difficulty level to warrant that level of reward. There will be other ways to acquire it.. but it'll come later, like always... You always had this choice, do it the quick but hard way, or the long but easy way (long as in wait for 3.1)... Wanting it now is like saying Subway sandwich dude should get paid the same wage as a neural surgeon... get real...
However if the subway dude save enough money (aka wait for patch) he'll get that house on the lake eventually.. (maybe not but you get the point)
Its not like you wont be able to get the gear ever ... but to expect access to it as quickly but without putting in the effort its like why do raids at all?
Exactly, you want the mount reward, work for it. "Why can't I buy the ponies with law tomes by spamming hunts? I dont want to be burdenned by doing ex primals.... "
That's what this whole thing sounds to me.

Mounts are cosmetic, upgrading ilevel on gear isn't. But really the people that complain about not being able to upgrade their gear should just work on their rotations instead, it's more of a long term investment than a few ilevels and these guys aren't exactly getting the most out of what they have now.

Same answer to both...why do you care about what other people want or why they need it or even how they got it ?Mounts are cosmetic, upgrading ilevel on gear isn't. But really the people that complain about not being able to upgrade their gear should just work on their rotations instead, it's more of a long term investment than a few ilevels and these guys aren't exactly getting the most out of what they have now.
Are you so desperate of people looking up for you when checking your character ?
Just put your brand new achievement title, and people will look for you, even if you wear crap gear...
As for "working on their rotation", you'd be surprised of how many people already have the skill for raiding but not the time, nor the group, nor the desire to do so.

I don't really care about other people having it, it's more that these items are going to be a weekly drop from a difficult raid, it's going to be a while before they are common place as they wont drop until the second floor, then its one item per player per turn per week. If the game starts dropping them from hunts etc right off the bat it makes a raid reward practically worthless. By all means add them to the game in 3.1 but asking for gear that raiders aren't going to get for a little while less than 12 hours after it's been added to the game is just stupid, focus on actually getting the Tome gear first.
