I was never sure why they went with the static bell in the first place...since we have more types of that in towns I'm assuming its a technical issue as to why they're static...my personal preference would have been for a whistle, so we could summon them at any time anywhere.

That and the Market window should be accessible from the retainer, so we don't have to continually run back and forth between the market and the retainers to check prices and buy/sell items. Clunky is Clunky.

I assumed SE set it up that way to encourage high player concentrations in the large towns (plus Mor Dhona), to create a sense of hustle a bustle. Seems to work in Limsa.

I'd settle for a summoning bell in my personal room back at FC HQ in addition to the main one. And it'd be nice to get an astatician bell for the fc house too.

We have a summon bell, armouir, triad table, and FC chest in our FC houses so the only thing that makes me have to go to an inn is for the astitition's bell.
