DRK don't mitigate like PLD unless you're talking about magic. They aren't as good vs. magic as PLD is against physical.

Amazing aoe is good and all, but it's sort of limited in its usefulness. And I'm not sure how it stacks up vs. a WAR doing unchained + berserk + overpower + bloodbath (also very powerful).

PLD & DRK have real TP issues. They could both use some love.

No they arnt. Your right.


But they do much better damage a paladin ALL the time.
They have better aoe than a paladin...ALL the time.
And between a PLD and a DRK, DRK has a better tp management via unmake for 150 potency and recovering 60 tp. Getting low in TP? Throw one into your rotation and gen it back (most DRK absolutely ignore this--its bonkers. It does as much damage as your combo starter and it generates 60 tp for you instead of 70 tp. Sure it doenst lead into anything, but your doing damage vs sitting them or casting utility spells like a paladin OT).

AOE is not limited: A2 and every dungeon disagree with you. Your aoe tanking and aoe regen is great. Honestly I feel the issue is dps went Dark Knight cause of its looks and wanting to tank and are angry that warriors are the 'damage dealing' tank. Darks are basically between War dps and Paladin dps at the moment, and have access to tools that the others dont. Your dps while tanking is top notch, you have some great CDS given their TINY cds (compare dark dance vs bulwark. 60% block for 15 seconds every 3 minutes, to 30% parry (which with a law shield, blocks for the same as parry) + 20% dodge (only applicable in dungeons, you can ignore) for -20- seconds every -one- minute. 33% longer duration and 1/3 the cooldown---its up significantly more. Dark Mind every minute for an extra vengeance to throw onto your other cooldowns? Yeah thats great.

You do good damage always. Not war levels, but good.
You have tp issues, so do paladins, but you can self manage it a bit. Also Ninja, Astro, Bard and Machinist -do- exist.
You are clearly ahead on magic fights (where paladins suffer, basically limited to sentinel and rampart)
You are not the best in physical fights, but at the same time, not that far behind (you loose delirum but likely have reprisal ready cause its a physical fight. Meaning in reality your just down dark mind).
