Astro can do all content well. Pe ole only utilize half of what an astro can do so yes they think it sucks.

Oh yes was specifically called you out of all the complaints of healers who call Noc stance crap and use diurnal almost exclusively.
Aren't there Astro clearing the savages ?

You're correct, their are ASTs "clearing" A:S and they even started this thread, http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...stro-in-savage. But clearing content doesn't equal balance. The game has 3 healers and two spot in a full party. If AST can't keep up with the other two they get left behind. All three jobs need to be different in play style but equal in terms of how well the party can complete the content.

How do Astrologians not compete with the other two jobs? We buff other party members via our cards and our healing is only 2-3% below the other two healers. Nocturnal has advantages over the scholar along with still stronger single target heals and being able to shield/heal instantly for a 500 potency buffer/heal faster then a scholar can adlo unless using tactics. Synastry lines up with tank busters every two rounds giving you more then enough time to coordinate with the other healer to rotate cooldowns accordingly. You're correct, their are ASTs "clearing" A:S and they even started this thread, http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...stro-in-savage. We are stronger aoe healers then scholar and weaker single target healers then white mage. We do our jobs well on whatever field we are employed. If SE will let us have a cooldown to swap stances or temporarily stance dance being able to put up aspect duial helios along with turning around and shielding both tanks and emergency dps about to die with a 500 potency instant cast buffer we are going to be gold. Even without stance dances noc stance alone has saved several people in A1 and A2 when adds are hitting on dps.

I think people are confusing things alot now.....let me get this straight now........ AST is perfectly fine with its potency, healing, MP management ........ HOWEVER..... We severely lack Cooldowns that increase our own healing and due to this cause the problems everyone keep screaming about and yes this is what makes us seem like our heals r not great and that our mp management is crap because look at this
AST healing cooldowns
=Synastry (fairy for 20 sec)
=Essential Dignity (lustrate/Tetragrammaton)
WHM healing Cooldowns
=Tetragrammaton
=Assize
=Divine Seal
=Benediction
Sch healing cooldowns
=Indomitability
=Emergency Tactics
=Dissipation
=Lustrate
=Whispering Dawn
=Rouse (increase pet healing)
=Fey Illumination
This are healing cooldowns only.... this is without skills that reduce damage taken etc in all AST is the weakest link
Other cooldowns (WHM/SCH)
=Virus
=Eye for an Eye
=Sacred Soil/ Asylum
=Fey Covenant/Fey Wind
To me sch need a slap in the face they got way too much
i do not add lightspeed as it is NOT a healing cooldown it is for movement only it does not increase ur healing at all just helps with mp slightly and allows u to cast on the move... how ever it does not remove ur 2.XX recast time within 10 sec u can only get 4 casts of sooo u cannot spam u heals whist this buff is active..... with or without this buff u can cast 4 heals regardless just with buff u can do it whilst moving
example
No lightspeed buff = stand casting for 10 sec = 4 casts within 10 sec
With buff = Run around casting for 10 sec = 4 cast within 10 sec
All this skill does is remove the stand still requirement for ur spells for 10 seconds and reduce there mp cost and that is all.... dont believe me log in ur ast and use this skill
