New Housing - Furniture Price Fluctuation?

    Hi, all!

With new housing lots (hopefully) imminent, what does that usually do to the price of furnishings? I'm expecting them to spike, but do they usually stay pretty high for long, or do they level out quickly after new lots are added? Have they crashed to below average levels in the past due to overstock after demand from new wards dies down?

I've managed to save more than enough for a small lot, and I'm wondering if I should buy certain high ticket housing items now, before the rush, or wait until after I've bought my house and the rush dies down. Like anybody, I want to get the most bang for my buck.

I played that market a while back. The spike lasted for a few days when personal housing and later private rooms first opened up, but when additional lots kicked in it wasn't anything notable at all.

Thank you for the info! That's good to know. In that case, I'll wait it out.

When personal housing got introduced I made a couple million gil in the first week by selling only housing items. Some things on Siren still sell pretty high, but it's nothing compared to where it was.
