Dear SE, please don't group me in Duty Finder with players on my blacklist...

Backstory: Some months back I had a problem on my server with one particular player. We were pony farming at around the same time, and this player joined my party. I already wasn't a fan, thanks to past experience, but whatever. We're all just here to get our pony, so who cares? After a little bit of this player being rude and obnoxious, and a wipe on Shiva EX due to someone's silly mistake (I think? It was months ago) he left, saying some...not pleasant things. Then, he proceeded to leave a party finder group up for a few hours telling people not to join my parties, because they suck or some nonsense. Congratulations. You are now the first actual player to earn a spot on my blacklist.

Fast forward to last night. I need 1 more dungeon to hit 60 on my DRG, so I queue up for Great Gubal Library. I get put into this dungeon with the player I had blacklisted and 2 other players from my server, one of which I recognize, but have never had any problems with. Lovely. Again, whatever, we're all just here to clear the dungeon. The literal only conversation that occurred was me asking the DRK why he/she wasn't using Darkside (I thought they just forgot, it happens), which was met with, "Give me a good reason to use it and I will." I cited a few reasons, but they didn't say anything else after. Oh well, do what you wanna do. I'm not gonna argue, and to the tank's credit he/she was doing fine. We continue silently on our way, all the way to the end of the dungeon. Right before we walk into the boss room, I get kicked. After getting out, I check the other 2 players and they are in fact both on my server.
I'm getting really tired of this shit. I reported for harassment, but the point of all this is that if a player is on my blacklist, it's for a reason. The duty finder should be able to find me a different group. There are, at any time, hundreds of other players in a data center queued for new dungeons. Throw me with someone else.

Edit: Posted the whole thing in here now, thanks to Volty for the 1k limit workaround. That is silly.

When you post over 1000 characters, copy the parts that over the limit, delete the part, post it, then edit the message and paste the removed part: if you edit after posting there's no limit.

And also I don't understand how could that happen: I have several people in my blacklist and I'm definitely sure I never found them in my groups, and even when there's a group in PF the group with Blacklisted people is greyed out.

Nope, they were definitely still on my blacklist. It's not currently a feature of the game, unfortunately.

Then I have no idea in all honesty: I have about a dozen in my b-list, aside bots, so either I was extremely lucky to never encounter them, or you just got unlucky yourself.

Hope it gets a fix but I really am speechless on the matter.

it might be too complicated for them to add that as a feature, keep in mind , all the features , bugs new content. ur problem is simple, the low chance of that happening , is like 1 in a million, still u got unlucky , leave the dungen next time, and eat the penalty. yes its unfair.

I doubt it's that hard of feature to add, and I know I will get hit for this but WoW LFG not only didn't group you with someone on your ignore list but also allowed you to add people from other servers to your ignore list. I honestly doubt they are the only mmo that has this just the only one I have played that have. As OP pointed out these people are on our blacklist for a reason aside from the rmt so there should be no reason to force us to play with them.

I feel your pain I was in a df a4 run and the party was awful keept wiping I lost temper and count after 8 I and could not leave battle not long enough or can't leave during battle so I just closed client and waited till they kicked me for being offline but to only re df with the join in progress off mind you the same party over 3 times after the fourth time I just said screw it and worked on bex no clear but we wiped a lot but we all tried till time ran out had fun. It suckes to get stuck with a bad party and have to take penalty for a bad team or go offline hoping not to get stuck in the same df pt

it is, its extra load to the database, and memeory. why do u think they cant add more inventory? there is limit to the server's capacity to keep track of stuff like that. duty finder queue server is lot of work to add that feature will make it ever slower to process as well.

You chose to use the roulette group finder to be grouped with RANDOM people.

If you don't want to do that, make your own party.

This could be greatly abused to get only certain people in your party finder. Which would lead to exploiting the system.

It would be REALLY hard to exploit the system, since you can only have 200 people on your blacklist. On top of that, groups are made from the whole data center, not just the server. Even if you blacklisted 200 people from your server, and just left your friends, AND all que'd at the same time, there is still a good chance of a non-premade group being split up, if only because the Tank will end up with whomever was seeking a tank longest. Same with the healer.
