And also, since r18 quest takes EVERYONE to uldah, it makes sense that the materia quests (that are also for r18) are placed in uldah.

So then players are sent to Ul'dah at 18 and expected to stay there?

Here's how they get around the lore: "Hi, my name is (NPC that removes materia from equipment in LL). I'm an apprentice to (NPC that removes materia in Ul'dah). How can I help you?"

I realize my OP may have been a little preemptive. It could be they just mean more company seals or Gil or something of that nature. But I'd rather have the clarification before I chose a GC, since it's a choice we cannot undo.
