Same GC Ifrit killers gets better reward

Please Devs get us some clarification on this before patch day

You have said before that we shouldn't worry which GC we choose, however:

I cannot choose my GC "freely" knowing that I may be missing out on better loot or possibly exclusive loot from Ifrit by doing so.

Could you please explain what exactly is the "greater reward" from defeating Ifrit by members all of the same GC?

also, materia purge npc is only in uldah too, why don't SE just destroy LL and grid now and save us the trouble of having to notice them on the map?

edit: my LS had rumor that you could also use at least 1 of each GC members and get some type of bonus? is this false? Because they only mentioned everyone from 1 in the patch notes. Thanks for the info guys

Its not a rumor, Triary and another rep stated that you would be bonuses (dunno where they apply though) if you complete quests with members of other companies. Was also in Reinhart's translation thread.

I see a lot of people worrying about this right now, but the truth is we shouldn't. Se has even said that they will be redoing the zones for gridania and the black shroud, however map changes take the longest to impliment which means we won't see them until next year. I happen to think the city of Ul'dah is one of the only zones in the game that won't eventually be reworked at some point so it makes sense they are putting everything there for now. I know it sucks for the current player base that we are all herded into the same city for now but, I think SE's record this past year has demonstrated that they clearly aren't reworking anything in this game for exsisting players, rather they will continue to cater to a player base that hasn't even bought a copy of the game yet.

This is the only thing I'd ask they reconsider. All it does is serve to further restrict people to where the majority wants to go.

Yeah I was extremely dissapointed by this.

First they tell us to pick the one we like the most. Then they tell us gear rewards don't matter (they do, they really do) and now they're telling us the only way to get the most out of the Ifrit fight is to all be in the same GC...

So tell me why should I pick the one I actually like the most when it'll end up screwing me over?

I also find it funny how much emphasis they've been putting on "ranking up" in the company and all that, when there's only one rank to gain anyway. So much for goals to look forward to eh?

I'll agree with this. I feel like they are trying to create some sort of pride within playing with other GC members, however they are segregating people from playing together.

SE: I like that you're trying to instill GC Pride, but this isn't how you go about it :/

U guys are silly. Se means that if a group 8 people that join same company kill ifirit, they will get greater reward so if u got 5 people from LL and 3 from uldah your chances lower:P
