there is a poll been taken to what GC ppl will join. as it stands right now all 3 are pretty close with the highest only having 38percent, if ppl really do join like this there will be enough GC companions to go and fight these big primal battles

Even if the rewards are significant, I can only see this decision as a good thing. As of now, I still haven't played the Darkhold. This is because a rank 50 Lancer is not "valuable" to a team full of Conj and Archers. At least with selective parties for those rewards, parties will have to be more intuitive with their party composition or else be very patient for everyone to rank their "Optimal classes"

Worst case scenario (being forced to have all same Company members to get certain gear to drop IMO), this is a horrible blow to the community and the illusion of freedom for choosing a Grand Company. People will be forced to flock to the majority or they will be excluded from this content.

Best case scenario (it's just for the R30 quest or it only effects gil or company seals) it really won't matter that much.

The reason these threads are constantly popping up is because it was initially announced in a very vague way on the English notes. We probably won't get a response until Monday but it does need to be cleared up.

That's a shame, my ls has done regular and speed runs with lancers as well as other classes. It's a shame most other ls either want to do thing the easy way or just lack skill in general.

That is a player base problem, not a design problem as it CAN be done with other classes effectively.

Yep people are figuring this out now. It is ONLY FOR THE R30 FIGHT. Which I is not such a big deal. I wish we didn't get so many things lost in translation.

Funny enough, nothing was really lost in translation, just people love to interpret things in the incorrect manner just so they can complain to SE about basic MMO fare and thus make them change it for no reason and XIV never proceeds forward.

Aw, we use a lancer ( or pugilist) in almost every one of our dungeon fights as well. =(
