I picked Ul'dah at launch, because it seemed to make the most sense for my character. An open trade city that wasn't too prejudiced of outsiders with "Oh you greenwrath scum with your woodsin, take your dark magicks and your tree-chopping axe and split your arse in twain, but don't forget to wear this half mask." or going "Ar' matey, me sweet lass, load me cannon, climb me mast, t'aving ventures beyond, then avast."
It's this desert that people didn't really like. Limsa was the "where it's at" place with their blacksmiths, armorers, sheep with the wind shards, and the whole, "I've been around since Beta, Limsa 4 Life". And somehow... Ul'dah became the new "in"-city. I *want* the other cities to call to people, but they aren't calling to people like Ul'dah calls to people, and it appears it's not restricted to just my server.
And we're mostly concerned that because Ul'dah is the most populated city and most populated wards that it will become the most populated company. And if this announcement is not clarified, it may become the most populated company out of fear and loot chances, which in turn, impacts cross-company parties more than it ever should have.
