You guys act like drops are rare in this game. Join whatever the hell you want, don't worry about what other players join.

I highly doubt that you'll only be able to obtain certain gear if say, you have 8 Maelstrom members participating in the fight. Chances are it just affects drop rates or, like other have said, increases chances in getting dark matter.

You're missing the point here..
