Same GC Ifrit killers gets better reward

This is a major issue, I can see many players choosing the GC they don't want just to facilitate grouping for the best rewards. Please find out quickly what exactly is affected with the drops. BEFORE 1.19 hits if possible!

If its just gil and materia I can handle that but gear drops is going to cause major problems in many linkshells.

Read before u jump to conclusion dude. if 8 ppl from the same company kill ifirit u get greater reward than if 5 from uldah and 3 from LL join together and kill it. its that simple

I understand exactly how to qualify for the better reward, what I want to know is WHAT IS that better reward, if it's just more gil or Dark matter like has been suggested in this thread, then that means I can choose any GC I want. If however the greater reward means better drop rate for weapons or maybe even exclusive drops, then I am forced to pick the same GC as my team mates.

When I read it first I was really upset, but I think it might just mean more drops, not better or different loot.

I agree this is a bad decision though. It's going to hurt a lot of people in the long run and further segregate the population who ends up not going with the flow. Not a good deal.

It seem that Ifrit is a kind of GC quests, so it only make sense for same company to go it together, however, they allow players with different company to join up for easily recruitment.

However, again, they forget the fact that players would want the "best" reward, so it won't help a thing.

Anyway, don't easily get into this yet. I think that "greater reward" possibly mean "reward from quest client as SP/gil " instead of boss chest.

I wouldnt mind some clarification.

But i actually support this in principle, It means you can go as an LS (and given we can be in so many LS, its not like we cant have social and combat ones independently) or go as a group from you GC, when they add player company's that could again be another aspect with differing bonuses (as long as we can only be in 1 Player run company.

No it wopnt help with the UL thing, but then you always get a more popular place, which attracts the OMG!kids..
Means I can go else where and avoid more of them.

Already have something like this with my LS but whatever happens I'm going with LL.
I really hope they don't limit to exclusive drops or drop rates on the weapons etc.

I couldn't care less about gil/DM/seals though.

We do need this clarifying before the 4th, if I cant get weapons and armour from ifrit unless we are all in the same GC then there will be no point in doing any of them, if its just less gil, DM or company seals it will not matter as much because we can get those by other means.

Again calling Rukkri or Bayhone we NEED to know this BEFORE the 4th or we will not beable to choose a company knowing we are locked into it.
