Same GC Ifrit killers gets better reward

This does need an answer before the patch goes live. I was planning on going Limsa 100%; but if the 'rewards' are anything more than seals, I will definately be joining the rest of my LS in gridania.

You have said before that we shouldn't worry which GC we choose, however:

I cannot choose my GC "freely" knowing that I may be missing out on better loot or possibly exclusive loot from Ifrit by doing so.

Could you please explain what exactly is the "greater reward" from defeating Ifrit by members all of the same GC?

Really? I'm in a ls where most of the ls is Gridania, all the way.
I'm Uldah.... Oh and my Fiance is in the same ls and from Uldah, too.
How does this work out?
I'm not interested in joining other ls's, putting myself out there, or shouting for dungeon parties. I love the friends I've made so far and would like to stick with them regardless of which GC's we are in. MMO's usually encourage making friends and playing with them. Wth is this?

I've been Solely Uldah all the way. I love the lore, I got the Uldah Certificate, I love the Colosseum, I love everything about Uldah.

Regardless of what you do or what my friends do, I will stay Uldah. But it really makes you think how far this segregation will go?

Grand Company
- There isn't much difference on which country you enlist in, just varies in how the event is viewed (cut scene)
- To avoid one country getting too much enlistment, making it so depending on number of enlistee the company bonus changing.
- It doesn't mean you can't switch (grand company) later on, later we are looking to adding "Free Company" where you can join optionally
- When everyone from same company you get bonus as well as when you have 3 different countries grand company members
- Adding a content where you can obtain company seals over time, however if you don't get a higher rank the amount (CS) you obtain will not increase.
- Rank: Once obtaining award, must take a test to rank up, currently it's hard to go higher than warrant officer?
- after 1.20 be able to trade company seals for chocobo gear, planning to release in future chocobo gear which crafters can make.
- If you work hard in grand company it will effect in Lodestone

I'm not overly worried, hell at least they are letting us still play with eachother cross-company. I remember in XI trying to find people to do Windurst missions with me was a pain at times, but Sandoria? No problem.

seriously I will say it again and again, just join which ever you want, don't let your linkshell tell you which to join that's just stupid. If they cannot understand that you like the story from LL better than Uldah then well they might not be the best of LSmates.

A Jp friend told me that in JP version of lodestone says that "it specifically says in JPN patch notes you get greater rewards if all members are of the same company for R30 ifrit quest"

which doesn't matter to R50 quest. and he says that English drop the word "R30" off so everybody misunderstand.

Hmm. . . that would make sense. Looking at it, only the low-level quests are city divided.

Yep people are figuring this out now. It is ONLY FOR THE R30 FIGHT. Which I is not such a big deal. I wish we didn't get so many things lost in translation.
