New looting dialogue is a bit annoying, please separate the roll from the 'cast lot'

Catwho is correct.

Simply because we can see who is not rolling intentionally, it greatly reduces the amounts of trolls waiting on the timer. Most of the trolls do so because they are completely anonymous. When they can be called out in party chat, their tendency to troll others is reduced and I've seen it in practice already.

Yelling at them will achieve nothing though, if anything the person in question would get even more kicks outta it.

Most people don't do that to troll. They do it in the hopes that other people who rolled will decide that it's not worth the time and leave, thus decreasing their competition. If it was just to troll you'd see it done at the end of every dungeon, at least occasionally--not just sought after rare raid drops.

Does it really though? Can we get some numbers since this has been implemented instead of 'it must be true because I say it is'
All it serves to do is clutter and let folks feel like they've 'won' because they can harass the harasser lol.

I don't think this would work with trolls in crystal tower... I haven't tried it, but I imagine it only says when a person in YOUR party rolls on an item. Those 3-party rolls for pets might only inform you when the 7 dudes in your party roll, and not the 16 other people. I haven't tried it yet, though.

I know about the not rolling people, and that is why my request was to separate the two dialogues in the chat box settings, perhaps one that was
"Show other's roll selection message"
and
"Show other's roll result message"
That way if someone was trolling and you really wanted to know, the option is there to turn it on, but the times I see someone loot-trolling is so rare that it does not justify perma chat dialogue spam in my opinion
