Square Please Don't Ever Do This Again. Part 1

My wife and I just recently started a new Free Company shortly after Heavensward came out. The problem with this is on my server to buy a mansion costs about 37 million.This is a problem for 2 reasons.

1 No new housing districts were brought in when Heavensward was released. Most of the districts on my server are full with the exception of a few scattered mansion sized plots here and there. What this means is no one is buying much furniture right now and that really hurts considering as any crafter knows... making furniture is where the real money is at.

2 Most of the new quests are giving out high quality gear for completing the quests. Once again hurting the crafting market because usually it's the high quality items that sell best, however if they're all being given away, then they are not really going to go for much on the marketboard and in turn the crafters end up getting hurt again.

1. Furniture market has been dead for a while. Retainers flood the market with crap no one wants, the redecorators only want the rare, good items.

2. The HQ crafted items are still going for hundreds of thousands of gil on my server, even the quest rewards, because many people level multiple jobs.

Realistically, you can only get 2 full set of HQ gear per gear "level" per character (although some gear sets can be used by many classes/jobs). I still agree with you that they did not need to go that route and I would definitly prefer they do not do so next time.

It's exceedingly easy to make gil on the market boards. I make a million a day minimum just listing the skins my retainers bring back each hour, and occasionally crafting HQs of the daily turn ins while making my own for turn in. Having the patience to actually hold onto that gil and not spend it is something else entirely. Keep in mind the devs never intended FC houses to be affordable for 2 people, and outright LIED about the cost of player housing.

I would have been happy to have consolidated it all into one topic is the forum allowed me to post something that long, unfortunately it only allows for so many characters and I was forced to break up what I had to say into multiple threads.

If you consolidate it into 1 thread, then maybe.

In regards to housing, yes its a known issue, and an issue that brough up in threads before and needs sorting.

In regards to crafting, most of the benefits come from end game crafting, so now that would be the lvl 60 stuff. HQ rewards from quests is part of SE attempts at levelling the playingfield for people going into heavensward. Also most of the true end game crafting will start in a few days time with red scrips being introduced and possibly 2star gear.
