I love it! ^^
I only have three negative comments:
1. I raised an eyebrow at the changes in conjurer. While I have not reached those skills yet, on paper that seems really restricting. Of course, I'll wait until I try it before forming a real opinion, but I imagine higher ranking conjurers will have given adequate feedback well before I get there.
2. I read about this a bit in the forums, and I still don't understand the purpose. Why are we able to cast in passive? Why shouldn't we be casting in fighting mode like everyone else? I rather like the fighting mode, it gives me more to manage.
3. The abolition of Guard. Even though I was having some trouble mastering that in conjuction with the auto-attack, I did like the idea of the skill. I would rather have seen adjustments to it than automating it all together.
I think of FF as like the difference between a stick-shift and automatic. The more control I have over my character, the better I like, as long as it's not so much that I can't pay attention to the fight. Little things like going into active mode might not seem like it takes much skill, but it gives you more you can mess up on, without making it too complicated.
Other than those, the patch notes are very exciting! Kudos to all the hard work the devs have been poring in. Can't hardly wait.![]()


Some really great things in this patch. I'm so depressed now though. I play this game on PC but I can not fully appreciate it or enjoy it because my PC sucks. I just want to play it properly on PS3 and the better the game gets the more painful the fact its still nowhere in sight is! One step closer I guess...

So Ancient Magic.....Why Nerf The Timer? no one was using it already....hahaha oh well tho and nerfed even harder without the aoe? we will just have to see how this plays out.


Combined with the stats being rebalanced, these "elemental bomb" spells should be really strong. Of course they still need an animation change.

Better yet... how big the queue's will be xD They were horrid when 1.18 went live lol If you happened to get on, got kicked off... just saying, don't see myself or many friends getting to play patch till next day, on Wednesday^^ Tuesday night prob going to be even more packed than 1.18's release >.< Been prepared for this hehe

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$

Increases in VIT and PIE granted by gear have been made to influence maximum HP and MP respectively.
Will this also hold true for passive traits purchased with Guild marks?
