Bullion is only obtainable by paying 40 Blue Scrips for 5 cubes. No other class has to buy items with Blue Scrips to get Blue Scrips... And they still give the same as other classes. So, 8 scrips gets you an item that you can turn in for 20. That's kinda silly, and how do you get started? =\
This made me feel bad for complaining about what BSM requires for scrip turn-ins. As someone else stated, it really feels like they have no communication between the people that design the crafting recipes and the one's deciding where/when/how the materials are acquired. Level 52-53 recipes requiring mats from level 56-57 zones sticks out as another example.

To be fair, assuming that people will hit 60 on a combat class before leveling crafters is a valid design decision. Or at least assuming that players will always have a combat class just a few levels above the level of their highest crafter, which is what they do most of the time (with some notable exceptions, as you were alluding to).

Other decisions though are pretty baffling. The level 53 GSM quest, for instance, requires you to make a level 55 item (Hardsilver Bangle of Casting) which requires a mat (Hardsilver Nugget) whose base mat (Hardsilver Sand) is mined from a level 60 node in the level 53 area. To make matters worse, one of the other mats (Grade 1 Intelligence Dissolvent) requires an fish (Mogpom) that can only be fished with a level 57 lure (can't use below level 57 FSH) and is located in a fishing hole you can only reach by flying in the Churning Mists, which means you also have to have a combat class at level 55.

So, to recap: to do the level GSM 53 quest (without buying stuff from other people at the endgame), you need: DoW/DoM 55, MIN 56, and FSH 57. No other class (that I've seen so far) has had such a requirement!

I get what you are saying and didn't mean to imply that's an unreasonable assumption. However, Wyvern Leather is a 52 LTW recipe. Coerthean Tea Leaves can be harvested in the first HW zone you arrive in. It's not unreasonable to expect that Wyvern skin would be from a 52-54 mob in the following zone, which follows a very common MMO gathering progression. I can imagine I'm not the only person that slaughtered dozens of Wyverns in in Drav Forelands just to find it doesn't drop until Churning Mists, and at atrocious rates mind you.
