Gender-locked gear, Class-locked gear, Race-locked gear.......
Gender-locked gear, Class-locked gear, Race-locked gear.......

I appreciate that our choices mean something. If every option we had to customize our character had the same results, why have the choice at all? Though not very popular on the forums, I love gear with conditions. At least with them, in some small way, our characters are different from one another. I wish we had more of them.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.
Thats fair enough for the races, classes and genders that do have the choices, for those who don't, it feels a little unfair.I appreciate that our choices mean something. I get what your saying, For example you want black mages to look like black mages and white mages to look like white mages,
However Dark knights can wear armors that paladins can wear.
Can you seriously say that's fair?

If anything I wish there was more race-based clothing to show of the different fashions between the races/tribes. The different civilian clothes were a nice start but some extra race/tribe outfits would be a welcomed additionI appreciate that our choices mean something. Unfortunately that's just because gears separated by roles, not classes (melee dps not withstanding). That kind of overlap can bug me. I don't mind DRKs wearing PLD armor (not AF, of course) since their both knights, but I do mind when I see WARs in them, since WARs evoke more of a viking/barbarian feel. I guess you could say it's like cross-classing. You can take after other classes, but you should still retain your identity as the class you are.Thats fair enough for the races, classes and genders that do have the choices, for those who don't, it feels a little unfair.

I'm not sure I understand, could you expound on what you mean?Thats fair enough for the races, classes and genders that do have the choices, for those who don't, it feels a little unfair.

While this is a role issue as someone above pointed out, What I was referring to in your comment was this:
Sometimes the conditions work in ways they shouldn't,
Like paladins and dark knights wearing the same gear, when lore/glamor wise theysometimes shouldn't.
Where as White mages and black mages can't wear the same gear, when lore/glamor wise they sometimes should.
The Cashmere ilvl 90 armors is a good example of this, where both classes could wear both battlemage and acolyte sets, but were class-locked when made dyed versions of them, The cashmere sets.
Made a thread about that here
