To return to the original topic... I'd also like to point out how things that aren't cuss words get censored. For example, me and an FC member were goofing off some while back, and then he went "Cal is serenading me!" in FC chat, and then he went "Wait, what?" because he had the profanity filter on. And apparently that sentence got censored to "****renading me" or something. Took a bit of googling to figure out that it interpreted "cal is se" as a French profanity.

In my opinion, the filter should work on actual words, and if people circumvent those filters by adding spaces or full stops or other things ("100% handwor|<" springs to mind), they can and should be reported. Filtering out random combinations of non-profane words because they resemble profanity in another language is, as I see it, over the top. Especially if the filter at the same time doesn't catch the words that are intended as swearing.
