Lancer Tanks!

With a two-handed or spear and shield option you could have had the ability to go higher damage and use parry for mitigation or lower damage but safer with block plus maybe a few job based shield skills. The arguments would have gone on forever about how to build your Lancer tank, would have been fun.

Edit: oh and a big red cape on the AF gear would have been great. Spear + shield + long flowing cape = awesome.

Dragoons in most ff games wielded 1handed spears anyway. Kain, Freya, FFV,FFVI dragoons could all equip shield+spear.

Templar tankish job from FFTA would be a perfect LNC tank. Holy spearman hoe.

I'd support it. LNC has a pulling move and stun move, which the other 3 tanks have. They'd just have to have your dps moves generate more enmity while in the tank stance it would inevitably have. I could see it being doable.
