Please allow us to save NPCs

So, I recently helped on a Steps of Faith run where I tried something new for once, and focused on keeping the NPC helpers alive. In a way, this helped, as our helpers piled up over time and really contributed to the DPS... and then the horde dragon appeared and one-shot the whole group.

I'd like it if using NPC allies in fights like this was more feasible. Mostly, I just want the following two adjustments to fights with NPCs:

1: Give them sufficient HP and defense that a single attack won't kill them. There's really no way the player can prevent these kinds of deaths.

2: Allow AoE healing and buffs to affect NPCs. Being able to Medica II or Cure III NPCs would do wonders for keeping them upright.

I feel these changes would help make fights involving NPC allies into ones where healers can indirectly contribute to damage via healing ALL their allies.

that trial is a joke now. lots of people can do it before the nerf so it should be ok.

But this isn't just concerning the trial. Job and class quests and solo MSQ would benefit greatly from this change. I've noticed several times I've struggled in those because I couldn't aoe heal my NPC allies.

It's less about the difficulty of the trial, and more that I feel that healers keeping NPCs alive should be a valid way to help speed up fights. Not to mention, this is hardly the only instance with NPC allies.

the reason why you had problem with those quest is you're not supposed to let them take too much damage. If they're gonna let us heal them then they'll need to adjust something else to keep the difficulty of the quests.

In The Aery u need to keep alive Estinien... maybe is a little step in this way

This messed with me hard in some of the Heavensward MSQ battles. "Why. Won't. Aspected. Helios. WORK!?"

As long as it is optional, sure.

But I do NOT want to have another Aery where you have heal them or you wipe... Especially since

I absolutely hate his stupid ass after he turned into Nidhogg by just his own stupidity.

Also we have more than enough of this in single player duties where they don't dodge AoE, refuse to heal you, randomly stop attacking, etc.
