10 years ago MMOs needed a subscription to pay for servers but now it's way different.
If the money went into development of content it would be a different deal but it goes into lining SE pockets. Do you get 4 expansion packs worth of stuff every year for 15 bux a month you paying? Hell no, in XIV we dint even get 1 expansion pack worth.
If they willing to release major content every 3 months, and I mean a patch size of 1.19 with more content gear wise, raid, wise, zone wise, sure I'd be willing to pay. If we pay subscription we shouldnt pay for expansions.
However, as SE usually does they will charge you for playing the game and than sell you expansion separately.

Bull crap, Most F2P games are based on the old player instanced method basically a Single player Game that rakes in Advertisement profits. Newer titles use World instancing, they claim thousand of players per server but chances are you'll never see 10 of those people because your being instanced, shuffled, moved about every time you reload the world.... this allows them to maximize profit Because they can go with cheap shite servers as there not handling massive amount of simultaneous connections *cough*EA/Bioware*cough*.

i'll gladly play 15 bucks month to play on an Instance Free Server, where every little Map isn't Instanced, where i not only know there are 3500 people online, but can head count every single one of them. that is a True MMO experience Worth every Penny.

I don't mind SE doing a cash shop here and there for like vanity items. Just as long as it doesn't affect the game itself...I wouldn't mind buying say a ring of moogle transformation or something like that ha hahaha.

its TOTALLY stupid to shout for a cash shop for vanity items (in a p2p game)! sorry, do you people got brain washed from games like WoW where you can buy now a mount for 20 euros extra?!

why paying extra for that if i can have (like in your example) a "ring of moogle transformation" in just a simple FFXIV event or through hard ingame content(without paying extra!)

NO NO! NO! never take this into account! you ever can get this for free. blizz could have made their 20 euro mount also for free... like SE gave us the Goobbue mount for free.

they dont have any extra costs for implementing this into the game. its just more "milking the cow".
