None of this makes any sense at all.

For creating a group designed for raiding, it makes zero difference if you have a linkshell or an FC to house those members in. The only important factor for gathering people for a raid is that you have them in the same place (in this case, a channel) where you announce and discuss the content you are doing so you can form said groups to do the content. A player can be FCless but still in a serious progression linkshell and completing the cutting edge content from day one.

The only advantage you have by being an in raid focused FC are the buffs and those are limited in what is useful. Even food duration isn't necessary, because any serious raider would have a means of providing that food so an extra 10-15 minutes duration isn't really an issue.

Please Se don't do what you did with coil and wait till there is better gear then what you can get in Alex savage that comes out on Tuesday to make it so I can que into it solo please.

Fun fact - when 2.0 first came out, LoTA was supposed to be accessible right away. However the devs felt "it was too hard" for the normal player and spent a patch cycle nerfing it before it was released to us.

Now it seems they are following that thread and not giving a 24 main at the start of 3.0. I imagine in 3.1 or thereabouts we will get the new 24 man. I would expect faceroll content myself, 24 people can rarely coordinate in this day and age it would seem.

WoW started losing subs during cataclysm and the decline was already happening before LFR deathwing. Their terrible story and class balance were likely more to blame than LFR.
