This Hard Mode should supposedly be for premade alliances (either in FCs or party finders), not for random groups in the duty finder.Id hate to remind you that the previous 24 man raids has had its fair share of issues with people that just stands there, leavers, trolls etc.
Making it more difficult wont stop this, it will only make the raid that much harder for the people that do things properly.
But then you will limit it to a small number of players since most wont be able to gather 23 other players.
Making hard content has nothing to do with the number of players that enters it so theres really no need to make difficult content require alot of players since it will only increase the chance of failures when increasing the numbers of players that needs to know what they are doing.

That's why I said serious lol. If you can do it faceroll in duty finder what's the point of even adding a Hard Mode? We just need a loot system that doesn't lock you with the same 24-man "static" and then you'll be able to gather every good player you can find from either your FC or the party finder. If the alliance doesn't work, just get out and make some substitutions or strategy changes, just how it happens with Extreme primals. But then you will limit it to a small number of players since most wont be able to gather 23 other players.

Also, we need variety. After 2 years the endgame still has only one hard 8-man raid and a couple of EX Primals... Why can't we have some challenging 24-man raids and maybe 4-man dungeons too?

TC, I support the idea and have been for a while, but you're just going to get the predictable counter-arguments (some of which already seen here) like- "lol 8 people can barely do coil/savage coil and you want 24?" "Do you know how hard it is to get 24 people to show up?/coordinated?" "Bad people will hide better in a crowd of 24." "Let me ignore all comments about preformed alliances and say DF is gonna suck for this"
But I really wish the devs would give actual battle content for decently populated FCs that isn't glorified crafting circles for fluff/houses. Or even linkshells for that matter.
Yea I kinda wish they did something besides a 24 man steamroll raid.... the chances are it will drop 190 gear so really what's the point? If people are already i190-200 when it comes out, there's not much point in doing it. With Alexander dropping 2-3 pieces of gear a week and esoterics giving 1 piece of gear each week, do people really need another easy raid for another 1 piece of gear a week? Give us harder dungeons or something, or more EX primals. Something that's fun and not steamroll.

Well, Alexander Normal is here because people could not handle serious 8man raid in 2.0.
Not really sure how people could handle serious 24man. Considering that even A2 is sometimes really funny trough DF.
The issue is people being too serious to begin with.
Ok, but what about those who don't have that many people in their FC? Tough luck?
This would be an incentive to get a better/bigger FC. Or a nice, big LS. Or really an FC that isn't just some multiple of 8.
Really, I don't know why people are to repugnant to the idea of challenging content for big groups; they've been a staple for MMO's since the beginning.

Why would you even say "better"? Bigger =/= better. For many of us, our FC is something that we founded with a few friends and it's not something that we can just lightly leave behind. I know that's how mine is. We do recruit, but the core of the FC is a group of friends that came from another game. It's mostly just a place for us to hang out and talk, and any raiding and such gets done through linkshells. The vast majority of people I run into are in small to medium free companies (I'm nosy, I snoop company profiles a lot), so it's little wonder that SE isn't pushing content aimed only at very large FC's. They'd be excluding a huge portion of their playerbase if they did. This would be an incentive to get a better/bigger FC. Or a nice, big LS. Or really an FC that isn't just some multiple of 8.

"But Alexander (Savage) is only meant for a small portion of the playerbase!" The difference is, anyone can at least attempt it. You can grab 8 randoms out of PF then go in there and die for an hour and a half. If they put in something requiring 24 people from the same FC, there's a hard restriction there that keeps you from even trying.
