Personally, I think they hit the mark with Astrologian. I think the randomness to the cards fits the theme of the class. The fun comes in setting up combos with spread and royal road, and figuring out the best way to use the cards you've been given, even if its not something you want. If you want predictability, there are other Jobs for you.
