I’m bumping this because I’m in full support of umbrellas being added.

This would be soo cute! I'm guessing a minion would work if you can hold it and twirl it. But I would prefer an actual prop so you can have better control over it. Plus as a prop you can dye it and customize it maybe the minion probably would be only one color.

There are npcs in Kugane with parasols too! I'm in favour of both. I can imagine it being implemented as an persistent emote, maybe doing an occasional twirl of the handle

Would be good if we could add a class like "civilian" just so we could hold non combat item eg. umbrellas, fans, flowers, book ect.

Likely not exactly what you're after, but they did excitedly mention in one of the live letters that an umbrella mount was being made for the mogstation. It was around the time they were discussing the Krile outfit being looked into I believe? (also mentioned here. )

(Also, why is it that seeing your character out in the pouring rain make you feel almost as miserable as being there yourself...?)
