I believe someone had a similar issue and it was just time that was required. The other person waited a few hours and then just posted again that it took a while to be sent.

Of course you will want to make sure you don't have 20 mails from SE as you can only store 20 of 'their' mog mails at a time (their moogle must be lazy, too many kupo nuts... ). Definitely update this again or put in a support ticket if you haven't received after a short period of time.

Also try logging in and out (once, don't go crazy lol), if you applied the code while already logged in or logged in very fast afterwards (could be confirmation bias but it appears the mail doesn't get checked very often, send Moguta to get your mail by logging in and out- it appeared for me).
