Is the folklore system currently broken? (possible WARNING for fishing folklore)

Today I finally got 99 seals to get a folklore book for fishing
And bought abalathia's spine book.

However, i disconnected when using it.
I thought that might have caused me to lose it.

But after searching online, it seems that the books don't actually do anything.

The following people seemed to have used them without any results:

Does anyone know what the problem is here?

And if not,

Could a GM explain if this system is currently broken?
Not implemented?
Or if the instructions (the help says it will add spots to your fishing log) are just incorrect, and we need to do something else.

I don't know if this is a bug, or if the instructions are just badly worded.
(and yes: I am aware the books work for the other 2 gathering classes (and they even have a regional folklore menu) )

Bump / Update #1

I figured that the fish may literally be hidden, and the translation/instructions were just poorly thought out. Went to every fishing spot in sea of clouds during umbral wind and tried using fish eyes.
No luck whatsoever

I realize that fish may be weather dependent / timed, but without any way to confirm the book was actually read, I don't want to spend 3 days fishing for something that I can't get, or for something that isn't actually in the game yet

Does anyone have any ideas at all about this?

If you go to active help > tombs of regional folklore (after buying a tomb)
it says "use the item to add the locations to your gathering and fishing logs"

I have double checked 3 times
Not a single location has been added to abalathia's spine.

I bought the dravania book and did not see any change in the log. You should make a bug report and see what the response is.

Spawnie, fishing folklore book is for catching end-game legendary fish (apparently)
It's supposed to ad hidden nodes to your fishing log, but doesn't

And Runez, the bug forum says not to duplicate posts so I'll just keep bumping this and hopefully a mod will notice and move it (if it's a bug)
Or people will explain what's going on if it's not a bug.

oooo do they only appear once used the book?? cause i found a spot in forelands that had the casting skill light up but when tried to fish it said no fish here o.O
