I think I should server transfer to a populated server

Because at present most of the content that I want to play (Alex savage) will not be on DF.
I can clear, know mechanics, etc and I can carry people through content as a healer... but being serious 99.9999999999% of the issue/time sink is waiting in PF on my server for people to join up in PF.

No, Ravana farming is not hard.
Yes, waiting on PF for 4 hours IS HARD.


With the introduction of Alexander Savage I fear that this will only become even more difficult and frustrating. So should I just transfer to another server if I want to enjoy content?

Waiting in PF or 4 hours for a full RavEX party != fun or content. It is frustrating being on a low population server and waiting for people to join.
People on forums: "hue hue hue make pf group hue hue hue" 4 hours later we finally make a group only to realize that the 2nd tank decides to fling himself off the side of the platform.



Great, time to wait another 45 minutes for a 2nd tank so I may finally get the chance to actually do content.

Transferring to Gilgamesh from Zalera was one of the best decisions of my FF14 gaming life. Even though I ended losing a few million gil, it was worth it.

In just a few days of transferring I was able to join a T5 learning party and cleared it after 3 wipes and did an FC-only 24 man ST run which took about ~30min to gather folks.

So yes, move to a different server if you're not satisfied.

Although before transfering i suggest making an alt (if you're lucky) on the server of your choice just to see the MB, PF and the culture of that server

Balmung is a good choice groups fill up very quick from what I have seen even older stuff had Titan pony farm fill up in 10 minutes yesterday.

behemoth is pretty good, and its probably easier to get into than one of the more notoriously jam packed servers

There's also Sargatanas. Full-ish. Not nearly so full as Gilgamesh & Balmung.

You wouldn't be the first, nor the last to transfer off a low pop server like Jenova.
If your primary goal is to find a raid group, then you will most likely have a better chance in a higher pop server.

For me, the key things tying me to Jenova are my linkshell contacts, less market saturation (I make more than I buy, so this can be a pro or a con depending on whether or not you craft), and my FC.

I lulled around for quite some time near the end of SCoB actually, because my static leader suddenly took off to Gilgamesh and I had not gotten to know many people to raid with at the time.

I mean. I have a hard time agreeing with your opinions, but Lich is always welcome to more people.
It's EU so it's more active during EU times and not NA times (when I play...oh well I deal), but I see primal PF parties fill up pretty quickly. I also see a lot of static ads for Alex Savage recently (some are not in English however..but they are there).
