What is going with the queues?

I'm aware that the average wait time takes into account the pre-made groups but still.

Strange thing. I don't know what is going on in your data center, but I'm on Chaos and I only wait around 10 - 15 minutes as a DD..

Aether's DD wait has always been long (it's why I moved to WHM when 2.0 came out), however as it is now? This is ridiculous.

It's really variable, too. I had one like that a couple days ago. Estimate said 10 minutes. After about 45 or 50 minutes of waiting without getting a group, I dropped out to join in on a hunt that had just spawned nearby. Right after that hunt (which only took a couple minutes) I re-joined DF for the same trial, and got in in about 2 or 3 minutes. (That time the estimate had dropped to 5.)

Estimates are just that - the system trying to guess. Unfortunately, the reality of actual queue times is entirely dependant on players; if suddenly fewer tanks are signing up for content or something, not much the system can do about it!

The content you're attempting to queue for also plays a huge part in things.

While true, I don't believe the average wait time for DD's in the Duty Finder in non-premade groups is less than five minutes, especially if I'm over that by a factor of 15.

The queues are long for DD.. I understand that, but what I really get annoyed with is that the queue is telling me frequently the wait time is an "average" of 5m which is simply not true for people not running premades.

While true, I don't believe the average wait time for DD's in the Duty Finder in non-premade groups is less than five minutes, especially if I'm over that by a factor of 15.

As a dps, I made it through to 51 and waited less than the average wait time for everything but Chrysalis and Steps of Faith sp it definitely happens.

Two things:

1 - What is your language setting in duty finder? If you're an a NA server queuing German only at 3am Germany time, you're probably going to wait a while. If you queue up all languages and get initially paired with someone doing that, you're both going to be waiting for a while.

2 - A new feature with HW was the people that haven't completed get shot up in the queue. This means if you have already beaten the thing, everyone that hasn't gets put in front of you in line.

Language settings in DF are whatever the default are.. I think primarily English, but the others are lit too.

That feature is annoying, but fair enough. That said, it shouldn't exactly cause a 45 minute delay.
