It's examples like these that makes me think that all Japanese game developers fresh out of university should be forced to do two years of game development at a Western game studio before returning to Japan.

Try to remember FFXIV is the most graphically superior MMO available right now. No other MMO looks this good, so it makes sense that it'll have teething problems.

And if you think this is bad try Duke Nukem Forever on a console. That suffers from terrible FPS lag and 2 minute loading times, all because they didn't optimise it for consoles, and that's on an engine that's 4 years old.
