You just have to plan a littler farther ahead than usual with Deployment Tactics. For instance, in A1, I start casting Adloquium on Selene just before the Opressors go up during the bomb phase. I then "Place" her in the section we will move to, and use DT while we are moving. It gives plenty of time before the AoE goes off, but does require more planning than just using Succor would. It's also useful during the predictable AoE damage in A3, as long as you use it prior to the AoE going off; its easily enough to shield everyone from the AoE, allowing you to stay in Cleric Stance longer.
